I want my m3 with that exhaust system. No chrome visible exhaust to let other drivers behind me know that the wolf is hiding under that 3 skin.

I know exactly what you mean. Sleepers are the coolest.

The front and rear wheels are different….

  4. 4. 17th November, 2006 at 23:32 by Warren M

Yeah Randy. It’s just a mule, to test components.

I like it but are they still going to have the coupe?

  6. 6. 18th November, 2006 at 00:04 by Warren M

Hi jerbob. Yes, there’ll be a Coupe. Although there’s no word on a Cabriolet – yet!

I think they gotta be cabriolet, But yes there’s no word about it yet.

What i can say is whatever they put under the hood it´s going to be a ground-braking-lightning-like super car!

  9. 9. 19th November, 2006 at 23:09 by Warren M

I honestly think it’ll take the M3 to another level. They always exceed their last M3, and the current is very good already.

There’s no doubt that the car will be technically outstanding, I’m not so optimistic about the looks though. I don’t like the sedan styling at all. Even with the sport package, the car looks bland. When Mercedes launches it’s new C-Class, BMW will really feel the pressure!

There are many new quick sport type sedans and coupes either on the market or on their way, but lets face it, Nothing Drives Like a BMW. There are many critics with regard to their styling including me, but you cannot critisize the way these cars behave when driven. I’ll add the new M3 to my garage when available, right next to my X5, 550i and Mini Cooper S.

Does anyone know if a sun roof will be an option. If the top is fiberglass, it probably will not.

  13. 13. 25th November, 2006 at 17:22 by Warren M

Not sure Larry. I heard rumours of a carbon roof. But I’ve also heard that they’ll save that for a CSL version. Perhaps it’ll have an aluminium one?

If Car & Driver clocked a 335i sedan at 0-60 in only 4.8 seconds with a six speed stick then wouldn’t it make sence that the M3 sedan has to be close to 4.1 maybe even 3.9 to sixty? It looks like it will be 400hp or maybe 415hp, how much time would be shaved off that time with 100 to 115hp more? Any thoughts? Has anyone found anything more on the specs?

  15. 15. 10th December, 2006 at 21:44 by Big Fat Tony

I’ve heard 420 bhp. The new SMG gearshift will shave some time off the acceleration too. If the 335i is almost as fast as a current M3, then the new M3 should eat it for breakfast. BMW have a habit of giving their M Cars massive power hikes. Look at the latest M5 – 507bhp, up from 400 bhp.

I think the new M3 will be an animal.

  16. 16. 12th December, 2006 at 01:18 by Alex M

SMG vs. Stick? Wouldn’t the stick be faster with the added weight from the SMG? I know its lightning quick but I am unaware of the advantages on speed.

  17. 17. 12th December, 2006 at 01:44 by Warren M

I seem to remember the DSG Golf being slightly faster than the manual through the gears? Apparently the new SMG BMW system’s very good.

Bmw is the leading car brand

Looks good but I think the C63 AMG will have the final say. The thing is a monster and this time Mercedes have matched power with handling. I think I’ll go for the Merc, for the first time.

So many people agree with you on that one Dee.
