Audi have released details of their Roadster version of the next generation TT.

Two powerplants are available for the Roadster. The 3.2L V6 unit generates 250 bhp and is coupled to the Quattro drive system as standard. The 2.0L TFSI engine delivers 200 bhp to the front wheels only. Both model variants can be ordered with the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox or six-speed manual transmission.
An electrohydraulically powered soft top comes as standard on the 3.2 Quattro Roadster and as an option for the 2.0 TFSI. This soft top opens in just 12 seconds at the push of a button, and can even be operated on the move at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph).

Sports seats provide firm lateral support for both the driver and passenger. The flat-bottomed leather sports steering is a cool standard feature. Three circular air outlets and the dome shrouding the instrument cluster dials inject the cockpit with characteristic TT flair. For an extra touch of class to the interior, owners can opt for either of the two aluminium styling packages

The new Roadster will be launched on the German market in spring 2007. Prices will be similar to those for the outgoing model: the 2.0 TFSI version will cost €33,800 (incl. 19 % VAT) and the 3.2 quattro will come with a price tag of €43,800.
